Red Bull F1 in Las Vegas

For Nussli of Switzerland, Martin managed and supervised the prep and setup of the Red Bull Energy Station in Turn 3 at the first Las VegasGrand Prix Formula One race. An intricate project with lots of moving parts, Martin consulted in all organizational planning, permits, work visas, on-site management and local authorities.

When you start with nothing but a field of dirt, lay asphalt then a racing road, and build a temporary structure into a high-end hospitality suite, plenty of demands occur. This included a video tower, catering, sanitary infrastructure, fire safety, and many more layers and eventually raising the Austria imported ‘Holzhaus’. Well, Chief Tom Ueberall of Red Bull was happy… and so where all the fancy guests.

BMW at the IAA-Mobility Motor Show

For BMW's press conference at the IAA Motorshow in Munich, we produced a segment presenting BMS's new 'E-Mobility Strategy'.

Filmed in San Francisco at BMW's Silicon Valley location for Germany's Elastique agency with producer Andrea S., we recruited our LA friend DP Rene J. to realize the storyboard. Despite a waterfront shrouded in fog and very tight filming window on location, we created sharp footage and delivered on-time to a happy client... Onward!

The Anchor Music Awards with LIVE Streams

For Hamburg's 'Anchor Award' & Reeperbahn Festival, an emerging talent show, we produced video segments and managed the entire LIVE stream production between New York and Hamburg over several days from a rooftop studio. Covid travel restrictions prohibited the US jury, producer Tony Visconti, singer Brody Dalle of The Distillers and engineer Darcy Proper from traveling to Germany so we streamed their participation live into the Hamburg show. See a teaser here:

A NYC penthouse in Soho with outdoor roof top provided the skyline backdrop for the show. Here's a link to the awards show:

The 5K Road Races at International Film Festivals

Our 5K Charity Run circuit  at film festivals worldwide is continuing at international stops: Berlin again, Cannes, New York, Toronto, and finally Los Angeles again during AFM. Titled the Freeway-Pryor Cashman 5K Run produced by PPP these races bring film executives and local runners together to raise funds for a good cause. In time this event will get on the calendar at more festivals worldwide and perhaps with a little luck bring some famous runners as well.

Saint-Gobain's World Tour Stop in Philadelphia

Saint-Gobain an Industrial French Glassmaker celebrated its 350th Anniversary with a World Tour exhibit and stop in Philadelphia... and we were chosen to manage the entire production and site. A big production with lots of items, this was no small ticket. Conceived by Paris agency FC2 and built in Czech by Nussli this event was well received by 100k plus visitors and a very happy Saint-Gobain USA team.

Heidi sings 'Wonderland' for Douglas Perfumeries

Here's Heidi Klum recording a Christmas Song for Douglas Parfumeries in Europe from a few years ago. Heidi and then husband Seal practiced a little tune that ended up celebrating her holiday campaign and commercial for Douglas. Martin produced and photographed Heidi in an LA music studio for his old pals at SELECT, with Rene Jung on camera...much fun it was, and Heidi sounds great!

A Little Sparrow's World a Documentary

Tiny sparrows in Manhattan, a little guy in the big world...living 20ft or 6m above the road, Empire State and 5th Avenue. Fodirector Kurt Mayer we produced the New York part of the worldwide documentary. Shot in Beijing, Vienna, Paris, Moscow, Cairo and NY the popular festival contestant tells the story about the little guy's life and survival in the big city...see for yourself:

From the Vault: The Maybach World Premiere

Some shows belong in 'The Book of Great Theater' and the Maybach launch is guaranteed a place in it. Six months after 9/11 our friends from OSK and Daimler decided to commit to New York City. The plan was: Invite the world's 'car media' to the Big Apple for the launch of the new Maybach sedan...
and there present the car off the top deck of the Queen Elizabeth ocean ship with a rig suspended off a SkyCrane helicopter... in front of the journalists over the Hudson river! Check out the 'making off video':
Instrumental from the start our team was instrumental obtaining permits, managing logistics, crew and many other last-minute elements... this indeed one for the ages!

"Kinderblock 66", A Story about Survival

Also recently invited to the Jerusalem Film Festival with all the producers and survivors attending. In the US, Kinderblock 66 has been shown on smaller festivals and just won 'Best Documentary' in Key West and in Philadelphia for Best Director 'Documentary'. A distribution agreement is secured, bringing the film officially to America. For current updates go to Kinderblock 66

Lanxess Investor-Press Days & LIVE Stream

For PR firm Offspin we produced media & investor days for Lanxess Chemical Coproration. Location management, calling the show, scenery/equipment/crew/photography and client transfers, where just some of our mandates. Watch a slide show of the events at the Bohemian National Hall in Manhattan:

SIEMENS Exider, A train as a rolling exhibit

The first trade show to ever travel the planet on the rails as a train. This a show for customers of Siemens Energy & Automation it arrived from China to North America...by airplane!! YES, this train traveled first from Germany via Russia for show in China and then was FLOWN to Milwaukee's international airport because of timing constrains. Its first show was at Chicago's McCormick Center's, then traveled the entire North American continent, -> US -> Mexico -> Canada!
14 containers on flat-bed rail cars formed the self-powered trade show, with displays & simulations, a lounge and 3D-movie theater. A two year project for us supporting our German friends of agency OSK with their expert crew who kept the train humming. Not your everyday project, but fun no less!

Shooting the VOID for Mercedes & Opel Cars

Scouting panorama, Ellis Island
NYC skyline from Ellis Island

...means producing images without a product 'on location'!
We did this for Opel Europe and Mercedes Benz. Like in Hollywood's special effects  the final image is CGI 'rendered' in a computer, here shooter & client
Computer generated interior
Tom Grammerstorf.
It all makes you believe the car is actually on a location.

Similarly we took to the streets of Manhattan, to film the 'VOID' behind a camera truck for a Mercedes-Benz E 550 film. The actual car was shot in a studio in Europe with the footage 'composited' later in a computer. Protecting the 'empty' space behind the camera crane traveling down Park Avenue at night was the tricky part. Watch the clip of the final film and see the car as if it was driving across the streets of New York City.

‘Tim McGraw’ by Coty

For Tim McGraw's 1st signature fragrance he performed live at the Highline Ballroom. With great voice and looks he charmed the international beauty & lifestyle press and presented his first fragrance. For our Parisian friends of shortcut we were the production force on the ground and directed the show, staffed and creatively supporting the affair. Take a look:

Sheryl Crow for Mercedes-Benz

The 'House of BlueTec' was a Mercedes-Benz press event at the New York Motor Show. Presenting new Diesel cars, Sheryl opened as the headliner in a West Side photo studio turned into a rhythm & blues lounge complete with stage and high-tech displays and yummy nibbles.

Overnight we turned the studio into an exclusive preview lunch for the AMG 'Black Series' SL sports car. In only short eight hours the team handled the transition perfectly with OSK Communications in the lead and Martin producing and directing the show.
